A whiter smile
Everyone's teeth will naturally change colour over time. Significant discolouration will take place if you are a smoker and/or drink tea and coffee. Teeth will also change colour where there is a lack of attention to oral hygiene or the patient has experienced dental trauma. Genetics will also play a part in how quickly teeth change colour and even some prescription medications or specific diseases may result in discoloured teeth.
At Morris Dental Care we provide professional, safe and effective methods to whiten teeth. We can treat individual teeth as well as a full set of teeth.
Teeth whitening treatment commences with an appointment with one of our dentists. Your teeth will be scanned in order for us to make a unique whitening tray to fit perfectly over your teeth. The second appoinment is for checking the fit of the trays and to demonstrate how to apply the whitening gel solution. After that you will apply the gel on a daily basis until the desired effect has been achieved.

How white is white?
Ultra brilliant white teeth are a bit of a give-away and although popular with celebrities and TV stars a bright, dazzling grin is usually considered to be less attractive in real life.
See the before and after images of one of our patients shown below for a realistic and attractive white smile. You can also visit our Smiles Gallery for more examples of teeth whitening.

Individual tooth whitening
Trauma and damage to an individual tooth can cause it to die. If this happens the tooth will severely discolour and sometimes turn black. An internal whitening procedure can be professionally performed to restore the natural colour and match it to your other teeth.

Closing the gaps between teeth
Composite bonding (also known as tooth bonding or dental bonding) is a cosmetic repair performed by an experienced dentist and is designed to correct minor tooth damage or to close gaps.
A tooth-coloured resin is used to restore the tooth to it's original appearance as well as repairing the damage, enhancing your smile in just one visit. The colour of the resin is matched to your teeth and looks as though it is a natural part of the tooth.

At our practice, we understand that every patient is unique, which is why we offer a range of orthodontic options to suit different preferences and needs.
During your first visit, we'll have a chat to understand your concerns and smile goals. Then, together, we'll explore the options and find the perfect fit for you.
Whether you prefer the subtlety of clear aligners, the ease of Damon™ braces, or the classic appeal of traditional braces, we're here with personalised care to make sure your journey to your new smile is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Clear aligners are the discreet alternative to traditional braces for both children and adults. Aligners are thin, clear, flexible plastic 'mouth guards' which fit closely over the teeth. A series of aligners is used to move the teeth incrementally to their corrected position. Here's why choosing clear aligners with us is a fantastic option for your smile makeover:
A subtle solution
Clear aligners are virtually invisible when worn, offering you a discreet way to straighten your teeth without drawing attention to your smile.

A predictable path to success
Our clear aligner treatment plans are created using state-of-the-art technology, ensuring precise planning and predictable results. You'll know exactly what to expect, making your journey to a straighter smile a smooth one.

Damon™ braces can be a great option for your journey to enjoying life with straight teeth, and here's why:
Smile faster
With Damon braces, you could see your dream smile faster! These braces use advanced technology for quicker tooth movement, meaning less time in braces and more time enjoying your beautiful smile.
Less hassle
Say goodbye to frequent adjustments! Damon braces are self-ligating, so you'll have fewer office visits and adjustments. That means more convenience and less time in the dental chair.
Comfort
Experience greater comfort throughout your treatment journey. Damon braces use a unique slide mechanism and low-friction brackets, so you can smile comfortably every step of the way.
Keep your smile clean
Maintaining good oral hygiene is easier with Damon braces. With fewer brackets and wires, there are fewer places for plaque and food particles to hide, keeping your smile healthy and bright.
Aesthetic appeal
Want a discreet option? Damon braces come in clear brackets, blending in with your teeth for a more subtle look. Feel confident throughout your treatment, knowing your smile is still shining through.
Preserve your natural smile
In many cases, Damon braces can align teeth without the need for extractions, preserving your natural tooth structure and smile.
Traditional braces offer several advantages that make them a popular choice for orthodontic treatment:
Effective for complex cases
Traditional braces are highly effective for correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues, including severe misalignment, overcrowding, and bite problems. They provide precise control over tooth movement, making them suitable for even the most complex cases.
Predictable results
With traditional braces, orthodontists have complete control over the treatment process, allowing for predictable and reliable results. This ensures that patients achieve the desired outcome and enjoy a straighter, healthier smile.
Durability
Traditional braces are made of high-quality materials, such as stainless steel or ceramic, which are highly durable and long-lasting. They can withstand the forces of orthodontic treatment, providing effective tooth alignment throughout the process.
Customisable appearance
While traditional braces are often associated with metal brackets and wires, they also come in ceramic options that blend in with the natural colour of teeth, offering a more discreet appearance. Patients can choose the option that best suits their preferences.
Crowns and veneers are an effective solution for stained, chipped or misshapen teeth.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin moulding, custom-made from porcelain, which is bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers cover only the front surface of the tooth and will mimic the size, shape and colour of your teeth, creating a very natural look. A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured tooth or to lighten your front teeth.
Crowns
Crowns are usually a more suitable solution when the tooth is weak or badly broken down. The crown forms a protective cap over the tooth which will look and feel like a normal tooth again.
